18-year-old man killed in Lancaster hit-and-run

LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) -- Sheriff's deputies are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed an 18-year-old man in Lancaster Thursday night.

The incident occurred at Challenger Way and East Avenue J3 at about 9:55 p.m. Investigators believe the victim may have been run over by more than one car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of kin.

A description of the suspect or vehicle was not immediately released.
