San Gabriel commercial building fire leaves 2 firefighters injured

SAN GABRIEL, Calif. (KABC) -- Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling a three-alarm commercial building fire in San Gabriel Thursday night.

The blaze erupted on the 200 block of South San Gabriel Boulevard around 7:20 p.m.

Three business were destroyed before firefighters were able to contain the flames.

One of the firefighters was transported to a local hospital after suffering an electric shock. The second firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
