ONTARIO, Calif. -- Investigators are looking into an apparent murder-suicide in a quiet Ontario neighborhood.
Police found two men shot to death at an apartment building on the 900 block of North Duesenberg Drive around 4:50 p.m. Thursday.
Investigators say they believe the suspect, a 56-year-old man who lived in the building, shot and killed the victim on the third flood, just outside the suspect's apartment. They say the suspect then broke into an apartment on the second floor, where he shot and killed himself.
It's unknown if the two men knew each other. Their names have not been released.
Residents in the area are shaken up.
"I've lived here for about a year and a half now. I have neighbors who have lived here longer than that, and this has never happened before," said Art Carrington of Ontario.
This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident was asked to detectives at (909) 395-2745.
