2 missing hikers at Mt. Baldy found safe

MOUNT BALDY, Calif. (KABC) -- San Bernardino sheriff's deputies found Monday two hikers from San Diego who were reported missing at Mount Baldy.

The two hikers, one woman and one man, were reported missing last night. Authorities found the hikers safe and without any injuries.

Five hikers set out on a hike on Mount Baldy on Sunday morning. Two turned back early and returned safe, while the other three attempted to make the summit.

On their way back down, the three split up. A male hiker made it down safely.

Authorities began the search for the remaining two hikers at 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
