2 people dead in possible murder-suicide in Beverly Hills apartment building

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- A man and a woman were found dead in a possible murder-suicide at a Beverly Hills apartment building in the 300 block of S. Elm Drive Wednesday.

According to Beverly Hills police, a call came in at 4:25 p.m. from a relative of the victims who discovered the scene.

"An adult family member had discovered two of his family members inside this home deceased from what appears to be gunshot wounds," Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said.

Hoshino added that the man and woman are in their 30s, but have not been identified yet.

Matthew Klein, a neighbor, said he was shocked by the news.

"Not a lot of things happen in Beverly Hills like this, so it's a little shocking to find out what happened to our neighbor," he said.

Police investigated the scene and shut down S. Elm Drive for several hours. No suspects are being sought, police said.

It has been a couple of years since a homicide has happened in Beverly Hills, authorities said.
