SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Simi Valley police broke up a burglary ring involving Los Angeles-area gang members, but two suspects were still on the run Thursday night.

A music video on YouTube is all about breaking into homes and getting away with cash. The guy rapping, who's then shown knocking on a door and climbing through a window, is wanted for just that. Simi Valley police said he's Darren King.

King and another man, identified as Brandon Robinson, have warrants out for their arrest. They are accused of being part of a larger burglary ring.

Police arrested eight other alleged burglars who targeted homes in Simi Valley in 2015.

Detectives said the 10 burglars stole more than $230,000 in cash, jewelry and firearms.

Police and the L.A. County Sheriff's Department identified the suspects, set up surveillance operations and caught them in the act in Ventura and L.A. counties.

Simi Valley is one of many Southern California cities where criminals have committed knock-knock burglaries.

Residents said they keep an eye out for unusual activity.

"I have heard about them in other areas. I know people in law enforcement, so that's why I know that if you see something, say something," said Simi Valley resident Linda Ohlrich.
