The search is intensifying for three suspects who beat and bound two Calabasas residents and ransacked their house in a violent home-invasion robbery.

On Aug. 6, three unidentified suspects approached a home in a Calabasas neighborhood in the afternoon hours. Two of the suspects were wearing orange construction vests, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said.

The suspects rang the doorbell at the home a couple times until an 18-year-old male resident came to the door and opened it.

The suspects immediately forced their way into the home, pushed the teen down to the ground and beat him, investigators said. They bound his wrists and feet with zip ties and also used a stun gun during the struggle.

The suspects then proceeded to pillage the home for valuables, mostly taking cash and jewelry, detectives said.

At one point, a 25-year-old resident of the home arrived at the residence, not knowing the suspects were inside. The suspects confronted her, threw her to the ground, beat her and tied her wrists and feet with zip ties.

The three suspects then fled the scene in two vehicles - a newer model BMW 5 or 7 Series and a later model Chevy Impala.

The female victim managed to free her legs from the ties and found a phone to call 911. Deputies responded to the scene, but the suspects were no longer in the area.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department held a press conference Thursday morning to release surveillance video from the scene. Investigators hope the public can help them track down the suspects.

The city of Calabasas has approved a $5,000 reward in exchange for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspects involved in this crime. If you have relevant information or tips regarding this case, you can call (562)946-7187 or email BRTF@LASD.org.
