2 killed, 1 wounded in Sylmar after argument, LAPD says

SYLMAR, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An argument at a Sylmar home ended with two men being killed and one critically wounded in a shooting Sunday night, according to Los Angeles police.

Authorities said the shooting happened at a home located at 11830 Jouett Street at about 9:35 p.m. on Sunday.

Investigators believed an argument over noise earlier in the day may have sparked the shooting.

According to police, a group was in the front yard of the home when three suspects pulled up in a white vehicle and confronted the group.

A gunman, wearing a facial covering, possibly a bandanna, fired multiple rounds at the victims, authorities stated.

Police said the suspects fled the scene in the white vehicle after the shooting.

Three people were hit and two of the victims died, according to officials.

The victims killed were identified by authorities as 47-year-old Edgar Leonel Canaan of North Hollywood and 68-year-old Moises Farias of Lake View Terrace. The victim in intensive care was identified as Hector Hernandez, 42.

Police said the three victims who were shot were related.
