Woman, man hospitalized after being shot in parked car in Azusa

AZUSA, Calif. (KABC) -- A woman is in critical condition after she and another man were shot while sitting in a car in Azusa Friday night.

Azusa police said the two victims were in a parking lot in the 1500 block of W. McKinley Avenue when a gunman opened fire on them shortly before 10 p.m.

One of the victims then stumbled into a nearby bar and grill in the 200 block of S. Irwindale Avenue, where authorities responded.

Both wounded victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where the woman was listed in critical condition and the man was listed in stable condition.

The suspect remained outstanding. A detailed description of the person was not released.
