LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The traditional carving of pumpkins for Halloween has been taken to the next level, with some 5,000 jack-o'-lanterns installed in a dazzling exhibit at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
"RISE of the Jack O'Lanterns" features individually spooky pumpkins alongside more intricate works of art - a dozen or two illuminated pumpkins used to construct cars, pickup trucks, Disney characters and Day of the Dead masks.
The display, which opened Thursday at the downtown venue's Kentia Hall, are arranged along a walking path and set to music.
Open from 10 a.m. to 10:15 p.m., "RISE of the Jack O'Lanterns" will remain at the convention center through Sunday.
Tickets are available by emailing tickets@therise.org or by phone at (516) 252-3392.
