LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An alleged sexual assault at a USC fraternity house is under investigation.

According to the Los Angeles Times, university officials confirmed the investigation after a student reported the crime.

The assault allegedly happened at the Delta Chi house in October 2013 and may have involved a date rape drug. The victim reported the crime on Monday.

The national Delta Chi headquarters said in a statement that they were aware of the alleged assault and were investigating the validity of the claim.

"Delta Chi does not support nor condone activities inconsistent with the values of strong moral character, leadership, educational excellence and civic responsibility," the statement read.

There's now a campus crime alert about other possible incidents from the same time.

USC police told the L.A. Times that the matter has been referred to the LAPD.

No further information was released.
