HOMELAND, Calif. (KABC) -- An arrest has been made in connection to a hit-and-run crash that killed a mother of two in Homeland last month.
Felipe Gonzales, 43, of Homeland was taken into custody, California Highway Patrol officials said.
Investigators say Gonzales struck Jennifer Blakely and her friend on Sultanas Road, just north of the 74 Freeway, around 10:20 p.m. on April 29. Blakely was killed and her friend was hospitalized with major injuries.
Gonzales' vehicle, a black 2001 Ford Mustang, with significant front-end damage was recovered a few miles from the crash scene.
