Car hits Marina Del Rey bookstore; 1 injured

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. (KABC) -- A pedestrian was injured when an elderly driver plowed into the side of a Barnes & Noble in Marina Del Rey.

The incident occurred in the 13400 block of Maxella Avenue. Firefighters say the elderly woman hit the facade of the building, causing minor damage to a column.

Firefighters say a woman walking by was also hit. She suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital in fair condition. The driver was not hurt.

The cause of the crash remains unknown.
