CASTAIC, Calif. (KABC) -- A barricade situation at a mobile home park in Castaic ended peacefully when the female suspect voluntarily came out.

Authorities responded to the area of Heavenly Way and Rolling Hills Lane at approximately 10 a.m. Sheriff's Deputy Joshua Dubin of the Santa Clarita Valley Station says the woman allegedly kidnapped a man earlier, and then freed him unharmed.

Nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution, as a SWAT team surrounded the residence.

The suspect, who was believed to be armed, surrendered just before 2 p.m. The suspect's name has not been released, but Dubin said she is in her mid-40s.
