CASTAIC, Calif. (KABC) -- A DUI suspect was taken into custody late Tuesday night after leading authorities on a pursuit that spanned from Orange County to Castaic.
The chase began around 10 p.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway at the 405 Freeway in Orange County. The California Highway Patrol took over the chase in the Santa Fe Springs area. The suspect was driving a black Nissan Maxima.
The chase went through the Silver Lake, Glendale and Burbank areas. The DUI suspect was forced to slow down in the Burbank area due to a cone zone, but eventually passed the area and continued north.
The chase came to an end shortly before 11:20 p.m. when officers walked up to the vehicle and, for unknown reasons, reached inside the passenger window. The driver was then taken into custody. No one was injured.
