HUNTINGTON PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- Los Angeles County firefighters put out a major commercial building fire visible for miles in the 5600 block of Soto Street in Huntington Park Monday.

The one-story building fire started inside an electronics warehouse around 9:15 a.m. near Soto Street and Slauson Avenue, and major flames were contained around about two hours later.

A lot of plastic and video game material was in the area where the fire erupted, according to officials. No one was working inside the structure at the time.

People in surrounding areas were evacuated safely before a part of the building collapsed.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Arson officials were investigating the cause.
