Driver wounded, passenger killed in downtown LA car shooting

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One person was killed and another was wounded after a shooting in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning.

Police said the victims were in a car at 14th and Alameda streets when they were shot at around 2 a.m. It was unknown if the car was parked or in motion at the time of the incident.

The victims drove to 43rd and Hoover streets in South Los Angeles before coming to a stop.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was shot in the hand. The passenger in the car, a female in her 20s, was killed.

Suspect information was not immediately available.

The shooting remains under investigation.
