EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man has been arrested in connection to the stabbing death of his grandmother in East Los Angeles, sheriff's homicide detectives said.

A 59-year-old woman was found dead at a home in the 100 block of North Gage Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Monday. Detectives say the victim suffered from multiple stab wounds to the upper torso.

The victim's 23-year-old grandson, Armando Sepulveda, was arrested as the primary suspect. His bail was set at $1 million.

Deputies say the woman's grandson was the only other person inside the house when deputies entered. At least one person said they heard arguing coming from the house.
