Family seeks public's help to find hit-run suspects who killed father

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- The family of a man killed Tuesday night by two possible hit-and-run drivers in Beverly Hills are devastated by the loss and hope the suspects are found.

Police released grainy surveillance video from a camera on North Crescent Drive that shows two cars drive by, a dark-colored four-door sedan and then a dark-colored mini-van or SUV. Authorities believe Eliezer "Ellie" Malahi may have been hit by both cars and left in the road to die.

Officers and Malahi's family are asking for the public's help to find the drivers.

"I just don't understand how a human can go ahead and end somebody's life on the side of the road without even a second hesitation to go out there and just drive off and leave a family in shambles," Malahi's son, Matan Malahi, said.

Malahi came from Israel in the 1980s. He was a musician who loved to sing and worked as a printer and web developer to provide for his family.

He leaves behind his 19-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter. He was going through a divorce and was just getting back on his feet, according to his family.
