BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A massive fire caused extensive damage to a commercial building in Boyle Heights early Thursday morning.

The blaze started just after midnight in the 3700 block of Whittier Boulevard. It took firefighters nearly two and a half hours to get the upper hand on the flames.

There are three businesses in the building, including a cabinet-making facility that contained very flammable material.

There were no injuries, but one firefighter was treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.

Arson investigators are trying to determine if the fire was intentionally set.
