Fire rips through South Gate restaurant overnight
A 2nd-alarm fire ripped through a restaurant in the 4600 block of Firestone Boulevard in South Gate early Sunday morning.

SOUTH GATE, Calif. (KABC) -- A 2nd-alarm fire ripped through a restaurant in the 4600 block of Firestone Boulevard in South Gate early Sunday morning.

A call came in around 2:49 a.m. and firefighters responded to the scene. The fire was knocked down by 3:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported, and no one was inside the building at the time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
