INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- A 40-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday morning at a parking lot outside a Yoshinoya in Inglewood, authorities said.

Deputies were called to the restaurant in the 10020 block of Hawthorne Boulevard shortly before 4 a.m. Upon arrival, the suspects, possibly three men, led deputies on a car chase.

Some of the suspects bailed on Imperial Highway and Doty Avenue, while the driver continued a few more blocks.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A perimeter was set up in the area of Crenshaw Boulevard and Imperial Highway, while authorities continued the search. As of 10 p.m. the suspects had not been found.
