RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. (KABC) -- Los Angeles County lifeguards rescued a swimmer who was stranded on the rocks off Abalone Cove in Rancho Palos Verdes on Tuesday.
Officials say they received a call about one swimmer who was stuck shortly before 4 p.m. But at least five others were pulled to safety on a lifeguard boat.
It was not immediately known if any of those swimmers were injured, or how they got stuck, but the water conditions were rough.
According to L.A. County lifeguards, 40 people have been rescued from the water in the last three days.
