Man in wheelchair falls onto tracks at Washington, D.C. subway station

WASHINGTON (KABC) -- A man in a wheelchair fell from the platform onto the tracks at a Washington, D.C. Metro station, and video shows several people rushing to his aid.

The 54-year-old man rolled right off the platform and onto the tracks for reasons unknown. Several Good Samaritans quickly pulled him and his wheelchair back up onto the platform, risking their owns lives to save a stranger.

The man apparently suffered no more than a bloody lip, but was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.
