BOYLE HEIGHTS, Calif. (KABC) -- An investigation was underway Sunday after an officer-involved shooting in a Boyle Heights neighborhood.

Officers responded to a radio call at about 1:45 p.m. in the 3200 block of East Sixth Street of a man brandishing a shotgun. Upon arrival, they encountered the suspect.

Officers called for backup and one shot was fired and hit the man, who was taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition.

No officers were injured.
