Man killed walking on 710 Fwy in Long Beach; driver sought

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A search is underway for a driver who fatally struck a man who was walking on the northbound 710 Freeway in Long Beach Saturday.

The incident occurred at Artesia Boulevard, near the transition ramp to the eastbound 91 Freeway around 4:40 a.m.

The victim's name was withheld pending notification of kin.

A description of the driver was not immediately available. The driver may face a hit-and-run charge.
