Marijuana grow discovered in Paramount warehouse; 3 arrested

PARAMOUNT, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Sheriff's deputies discovered a large marijuana farm in a warehouse off Madison Street in Paramount Thursday morning.

A search warrant was served at the warehouse, located in the 7200 block of Madison Street, where deputies found several thousand marijuana plants in different stages of growth, officials said. An extensive lighting and watering system for the plants was also found.

City officials deemed the location unsafe and red tagged the building because of numerous electrical code violations.

Three men connected to the crime were arrested and booked at the Lakewood Sheriff's Station.

A follow-up investigation on the warehouse will be completed by members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Bureau.
