Massage therapist charged with sexually assaulting client in Santa Clarita
Authorities said 48-year-old Daniel Holbert sexually assaulted one of his clients during a massage therapy session in Santa Clarita.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KABC) -- Investigators are searching for more possible victims of a massage therapist charged with sexually assaulting a client in Santa Clarita in March.

Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said Daniel Holbert, 48, met his victim at the G Train Fitness Gym in North Hollywood in March.

"He was recommended to her from other people. As a result she scheduled six sessions with him at this gym," Sgt. Brian Hudson with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

After the sixth session at the gym, detectives said Holbert recommended that future therapy sessions take place at either his home or hers, which he said would provide more privacy.

The victim agreed, since Holbert had been acting appropriately during all of their previous sessions, authorities said.

"He had several certifications that he claimed to have, however, when we followed up on that we found that not to be the case," Hudson said.

On March 12, Holbert arrived at the victim's Santa Clarita home, where he sexually assaulted her during the course of the therapy session, sheriff's officials said.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office filed one count of sexual penetration by false representation against Holbert, who was arrested on Tuesday.

Holbert bonded out of jail on Tuesday was due back in court by the end of September.

Detectives believe there are other women who have been sexually assaulted by Holbert during massage therapy sessions. If you have any information regarding this investigation, you're urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Special Victims Bureau at (877) 710-5273.
