Motorcyclist killed in crash on 105 Freeway

WILLOWBROOK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A motorcyclist was killed after losing control on the westbound 105 Freeway in Willowbrook early Friday.

The victim crashed his 2005 Yamaha motorcycle east of Central Avenue around 3:30 a.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

California Highway Patrol officials identified him as a 21-year-old Simi Valley man. His name was withheld pending notification of kin.

Investigators believe speed may have played a factor in the crash.

All westbound lanes were temporarily closed during the investigation, but have since been reopened.
