North Hollywood shooting: Search underway for suspect

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police set up a perimeter early Monday morning to search for a suspect after a woman was shot at an apartment building in North Hollywood.

The shooting happened around 2:45 a.m. on the 13100 block of Vanowen Street. According to police, the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and is expected to survive.

The LAPD said the suspect, who's believed to be the victim's boyfriend, was armed with a shotgun and was last seen in the rear of the apartment building.
