ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- An Anaheim City Hall custodian was arrested after police say he planted a digital camera in a women's restroom.

Simon Carbajal Rosales, 24, of Anaheim worked as an outside contractor at the Anaheim City Hall and other city buildings for two years.

Investigators say he was secretly recording women in the bathroom. The camera was discovered by a City Hall employee and traced back to Rosales. It's unknown how long the recording was going on.

Rosales was arrested May 23 on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct related to the secret recordings.

"We don't have any information to suggest that he did this type of activity outside this building. However, we're still sifting through a bunch of evidence," said Lt. Bob Dunn with the Anaheim Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information was urged to contact Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
