Orange hit-and-run was intentional - police

ORANGE, Calif. (KABC) -- Police believe the hit-and-run crash that killed a man in Orange was intentional. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

Authorities say 43-year-old Christian Thomas McQueen intentionally rammed his GMC Sierra pickup truck into a Ford Explorer on Tustin Street, between Van Owen and Chestnut avenues, at 9:42 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was ejected as the Ford rolled over. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died. His name has not been released.

A female passenger, an 18-year-old woman, was also injured. She remains hospitalized in stable condition.

McQueen allegedly fled before officers arrived on scene, but he was identified through witnesses.

The suspect's whereabouts are unknown at this time. Police say he has relatives in the Stockton area and may be headed there. His vehicle was described as a dark blue 1999 GMC Sierra pickup truck, with the license plate 8H65628.

The motive for the crash has not been determined.
