PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A family was displaced and a man was injured Saturday after a fire ripped through a three-story condominium home in Pacoima.

Firefighters arrived at the 12300 block of West Osborne Street at about 1 p.m. Video shot by Eyewitness News viewer Claudia Abrego shows the flames billowing out of the garage, where officials believe the fire began. The flames were knocked down in about 30 minutes.

"It was a small fire and it ... really fast (turned) into a big old fire, in seconds," neighbor Nestor Martinez said.

A man who was in the garage was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

The fire did not reach neighboring condominiums, but the units did receive smoke damage.

Authorities briefly blocked off Osborne Street from San Fernando Road to Glenoaks Boulevard to clear the scene.

An investigation was underway as firefighters work to determine the cause of the fire.
