'Safe and sane' fireworks on sale in Fillmore

FILLMORE, Calif. (KABC) -- The Fillmore Chamber of Commerce has been selling "safe and sane" fireworks in the city for years.

It's their biggest fundraiser, which not only provides funds for the chamber but also raises money for organizations such as the 'Make-A-Wish-Foundation.'

Fillmore Chamber of Commerce President Irma Magana says Fillmore is the only city in Ventura County selling "safe and sane" fireworks. Magana says the lingering drought has caused more cities to restrict firework use more than ever before, and she dreads that will put a huge dent in sales this year.
