HIGHLAND, Calif. (KABC) -- A San Bernardino County high school employee has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with two minors, one of them a former student, and investigators believe there may be other victims.

Amy Bramlett, 46, a program specialist at Indian Springs High School in San Bernardino, was arrested on Sunday at her parents' home in San Bernardino on suspicion of Oral Copulation of a Child Under 18; Penetration of a Foreign Object; and Unlawful Sex with a Minor.

"Through their investigation detectives believe that there could be additional victims," said Jodi Miller, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

The former teacher was placed on administrative leave Friday ahead of her arrest on Sunday, according to the San Bernardino Unified School District.

Investigators said the crimes were committed between January 2014 and June 2014 while the first victim, a former student of Bramlett, was 17. The crimes allegedly took place on the 7200 block of Sunrise Court in Highland.

Further investigation led detectives to discover a second victim. The department said the second victim was 16 years of age when Bramlett victimized him, also in the city of Highland.

Bramlett was held on $1 million bail. She was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.

Bramlett has been with the San Bernardino Unified School District for 20 years. A district spokeswoman told Eyewitness News they are cooperating with the investigation.

Parents were notified Monday.

On the Indian Springs campus Monday, news of the arrest spread quickly.

"I don't think she would do that," said one student. "She doesn't seem like that type of girl."

"She was cool. I don't really think she would do something like that," said another student.

Lorraine Alcaraz has known Bramlett for years and was quick to come to her defense.

"I believe somebody is setting her up and I don't believe that this is true at all," said Alcaraz. "She is a very good person."

"Every time you hear about it, it's kind of shocking that an adult would cross the line with a student," said parent Kim Jackson.
