Gardena wanted parolee taken into custody

GARDENA, Calif. (KABC) -- A wanted parolee was taken into custody without incident in Gardena Wednesday afternoon.

The public was urged to avoid the area bounded by 129th Street on the north, Gramercy Place on the west, 132nd Street on the south, and St. Andrews Place on

the east. Police said the suspect is dangerous and warned people to stay inside.

The search began around 1:30 p.m. The Hawthorne Police Department assisted the Gardena Police Department. He was taken into custody several hours later.
