Sony hacked again, employees' families threatened

LOS ANGELES -- The FBI is investigating the latest hack on Sony Pictures Entertainment. This time, employees received emails threatening their families.

The studio confirmed that several employees received emails claiming to be from a group called the "Guardians of Peace," warning that their families could be in danger.

The same group claimed responsibility for a cyber attack on Nov. 24 that crippled Sony's computer system for days and spewed confidential information onto the Internet.

Some believe North Korea is involved, angry over Sony's upcoming comedy "The Interview" in which there's a plot to kill North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

North Korea has denied involvement.

Some cybersecurity experts say they've found striking similarities between the code used in the hack of Sony Pictures Entertainment and attacks blamed on North Korea that targeted South Korean companies and government agencies last year.

Experts are divided, however, over the likelihood that North Korea or independent hackers were involved.
