FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect crashed a stolen vehicle, fled on foot and may have barricaded himself on the roof of an apartment complex in Fullerton Tuesday night, police said.

Fullerton police received a LoJack ping and were surveilling the suspect when he crashed shortly after 6 p.m. While officers were searching for the suspect, they encountered a person on the roof of Palm Gardens Apartments in the 400 block of W. Orangethorpe Avenue. He refused to come down.

Authorities believed the man on the roof was also the stolen vehicle suspect. It was unclear if he was armed.

No evacuations were ordered, and no further details were immediately available.
