Suspect sought for sexually assaulting 9-year-old girl in Riverside Kmart

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities are asking for the public's help to identify a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl inside a Riverside Kmart in June.

On June 25 around 8:30 p.m., authorities said a male suspect sexually assaulted the young girl inside the store, located in the 3000 block of Iowa Avenue. After the attack, he fled the scene.

It was unclear if the man fled on foot or in a car. Authorities did not know the man's age nor a good description of his physical build, but he was caught on surveillance video wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray shorts.
