BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An armed robbery at a taco truck ended with a shooting and a car crash on Olympic Boulevard and Mirasol Street in Boyle Heights.

Police say the incident started when a woman and a man robbed the Tacos "Los Gueros" taco truck on the 3500 block of Olympic Boulevard shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday. The suspects tried to flee in a silver Chevrolet Camaro but were involved in an accident with two other vehicles.

The suspects fired shots as they were trying to leave the scene of the crash, and one of those bullets hit the taco truck.

Police say the suspects forced a driver of a white Lexus at gunpoint to drive them away, but officers caught up with them about two blocks later and arrested them. Their names have not been released.

Two women in the collisions were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
