CULVER CITY, Calif. (KABC) -- Culver City Police are seeking three suspects wanted for striking a man and stealing his cellphone at the Westfield Mall on Saturday.

The three male suspects allegedly robbed a man of his cellphone at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday. When the victim attempted to recover his phone, he was struck repeatedly in the face by the suspects before they escaped the area.

"The victim gave chase and attempted to retrieve his phone from the suspect, at which time he was attacked not only by the one suspect but by two other suspects and punched repeatedly in the face," said Culver City Police Lt. Jason Simms.

The three suspects were recorded on camera before the robbery. They were described as African-American males between 15-25 years old.

"This is a very brazen crime and we would consider these individuals to be dangerous," said Simms.

Police think they may strike again if not caught soon.

"Suspects like these aren't just doing this one time. They're out looking for victims all the time, and so we are seeking the help of the community," said Simms.

Anyone with information regarding this case or these subjects is asked to contact Detective Bingham at (310) 253-6347, or the Culver City Police Watch Commander at (310) 253-6202.
