Suspicious note prompts closure of North Hollywood Red Line

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The Metro North Hollywood Station was closed Tuesday afternoon due to a suspicious note found at the location at about 1 p.m.

The note indicated there was a possible threat at the Red Line station. L.A. County Sheriff's deputies evacuated the area while they searched the station.

Deputies determined the situation was safe and cleared the scene at about 2:30 p.m.

The Red Line resumed normal service between the North Hollywood and Universal City stations, though Metro said the bus shuttle service was canceled.
