ARCADIA, Calif. (KABC) -- A 16-year-old student at San Marino High School disappeared Saturday from Arcadia after messaging her brother that she was feeling overwhelmed by school and her SAT exam.

Mira Hu's parents dropped her off at Arcadia High School at about 7:30 a.m. to take the SAT exam, but the girl failed to show up when her parents arrived to pick her up, police said.

Investigators believe Hu may be traveling to central or Northern California.

She was described as Asian, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 95 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black jacket, black jeans and carrying a large navy-colored backpack when she was dropped off at the school.

Anyone with information on Hu's whereabouts was urged to call the Arcadia Police Department at (626) 574-5121.
