VIDEO: Goodyear to retire 'Spirit of America' blimp after 13 years

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Goodyear is preparing to retire its blimp, "Spirit of America," which has covered everything from concerts, the Oscars and large sporting events for the last 13 years.

AIR7 HD's Bill Thomas got the chance to interview "Spirit of America" assistant pilot Kristen Arambula while they were both in the air. A retirement ceremony will be held Aug. 7 and 8 at the blimp's base, located at 19200 S. Main St. in Gardena.
