VIDEO: Miami doctor suspended after purported Uber attack
Dr. Anjali Ramkissoon, a fourth-year neurology resident with Jackson Health System in Miami, appears to have a confrontation with an Uber driver.

MIAMI (KABC) -- A Miami doctor was placed on administrative leave after a video of her appearing to assault an Uber driver went viral.

In the video, Dr. Anjali Ramkissoon can be seen having a confrontation with a male Uber driver. The video appears to show her slapping and kneeing the driver, before she's shoved to the ground.

Ramkissoon can be seen getting up, jumping in the front-passenger seat of the car and throwing papers and other items out of the window. Ramkissoon also appears to be screaming obscene language at the driver.

The Uber driver appears to have been at the location to pick someone else up, but Ramkissoon demanded he take her instead. Police arrived shortly after, but no arrest were made because the driver didn't press charges.

Ramkissoon is a fourth-year neurology resident with Jackson Health System in Miami, according to ABC affiliate WPLG in Miami.

The hospital said she was placed on administrative leave immediately and removed from all clinical duties.

"Jackson has launched an internal investigation," Jackson Health System said in a statement to WPLG. "The outcome of the investigation will determine if any disciplinary action will be taken, up to and including termination."

Uber said it suspended Ramkissoon's account.

"Uber expects everyone in our community to treat each other with respect and common courtesy, and we have a zero tolerance policy for all forms of harassment and abuse," Uber said in a statement to WPLG.
