Water main break knocks out power at Beverly Hilton Hotel
A broken water main flooded the property of the Beverly Hilton Hotel at the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards Tuesday night and knocked out power at the location.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- A broken water main flooded the property of the Beverly Hilton Hotel at the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards Tuesday night and knocked out power at the location.

Eastbound Santa Monica Boulevard was closed to traffic at Wilshire Boulevard while crews responded. Beverly Hills Fire Department personnel were on scene.

Water reportedly got into an electrical room at the location. The hotel was also using generators to help some guests who were left in the dark.

The water main broke around 9 p.m. No injuries or evacuations were reported.

The Beverly Hilton returned to normal operations around midnight.
