Two suspects are on the run following a home invasion in Whittier, where people were threatened at gunpoint.

WHITTIER, Calif. (KABC) -- Two suspects are on the run following a home invasion in Whittier, where people were threatened at gunpoint and robbed.

Police say two men broke into the home on the 9000 block of Painter Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Five or six people were inside the home at the time. Police say they were held at gunpoint.

One of the robbers even fired off what police believe was a warning shot.

Police are now looking for the suspects, who got away with several thousand dollars in cash.

No injuries were reported. Descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available.
