Woman found shot in South LA; investigation underway

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police were searching for a possible gunman after a woman was shot in South Los Angeles Friday night.

The victim, believed to be between 45-50 years old, was found shot on W. 83rd Street and S. Broadway just after 9:30 p.m., according to authorities from the LAPD 77th Division.

The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.

Police did not release suspect information.
