Woman's body found in East Los Angeles home

EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 59-year-old woman was found dead in an East Los Angeles home Monday morning. At least one person said they heard arguing coming from the house.

Deputies from the East Los Angeles Sheriff's Station responded to a welfare call at a home in the 100 block of North Gage Avenue at 11:45 a.m and found a woman's body.

The manner of death remained under investigation, but homicide detectives say the woman was found face down.

Deputies say the woman's grandson was the only other person inside the house when deputies entered and found his grandmother's body. No further information has been released.
