COLTON, Calif. (KABC) -- A driver slammed into a big-rig after driving westbound on the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway in Colton early Saturday.

The incident occurred near 9th Street around 1:10 a.m.

Colton Fire Department officials say the wrong-way driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. He sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The big-rig driver walked away with no injuries.

Two lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed as crews worked to clean up diesel fuel that had spilled following the crash.
